2019 Ministry-Level Scientific Research Award for Students

On the morning of December 1st, at the University of Civil Engineering (Hanoi), the Ministry of Education and Training, in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, held the award ceremony for the “Scientific Research Award for Students”, honoring outstanding research projects and students with a passion for scientific research nationwide.

From thousands of student research projects submitted across the country, academic councils at 85 universities and academies selected the 419 most outstanding projects to participate in the 2019 “Scientific Research Award for Students.” These projects spanned six key fields of science and technology: Natural Sciences; Engineering and Technology; Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences; Agricultural Sciences; Social Sciences; and Humanities.

Following a rigorous and objective evaluation process, the judging panel selected 72 projects for the final round, from which 10 first prizes and 62 second prizes were awarded. Additionally, 89 projects received third prizes and 118 projects received consolation prizes.

This year, Lac Hong University participated in the "Scientific Research Award for Students" with two projects — both of which achieved high honors. Among them, the project titled "Film-forming spray containing 1% ketoconazole" by student Pham Thi Hong Hanh outperformed 18 other entries in the field of Medicine and Pharmacy to win Second Prize. In addition to this achievement, Do Thi Quynh Nhu, another student from the Faculty of Pharmacy, also earned Third Prize.
