In order to meet the demands of employers, besides providing students with education at school, AIE always creates opportunities for students to enhance their knowledge and skills through competitions, club activities, especially field trips, and practical learning activities. Through these methods, students have more access and deeper engagement with practical knowledge, bridging the gap between theory and practice, ensuring the output standards of new graduates, and helping employers avoid retraining candidates.
The TTM of AIE has been training in this field since 2019 to meet the society's demand. With annual program evaluations and input from experts, businesses, and alumni, they have enhanced practical learning activities through short trips to various regions nationwide.
During the 4 days and 3 nights from March 18 to 21, 2024, in the provinces of the Mekong Delta, students had the opportunity to visit Long, Lan, Quy, Phung islands, exchange with Don Ca Tai Tu (a famous musical genre of southern Vietnam), visit the floating market of Cai Rang, Cape Ca Mau, Tram Chim National Park, Ho Chi Minh President Memorial Area, Don Ca Tai Tu band and the late musician Cao Van Lau memorial, wind power fields, Som Rong Pagoda, Bac Lieu Mansion.... As we can see, even in a short period of time, students learned how to organize tours, got to know many tourist attractions, the characteristics of each region, and learned how to present each destination...
Through practical activities like this, the AIE is gradually bridging the gap between the knowledge learned at school and the practical knowledge needed in the workplace. Especially in the current context, travel companies are in great need of human resources for the tourism industry. This learning environment at the AIE helps students improve their skills and meet the increasing demands of employers.
