Within the framework of Dong Nai province’s Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Festival 2025 (Techfest Dong Nai 2025) held from October 8 to 10 at the Provincial Conference Center, LHU made a remarkable impression with a series of outstanding activities, affirming its strengths in research, innovation, and technology transfer with strong practical applicability.
Right from the opening day, LHU’s technology booth became a focal point, capturing special attention from central and provincial leaders, enterprises, and a large number of visitors. The University showcased a range of notable research products, including the AI Service Robot capable of facial recognition and searching for information about high-ranking officials - an impressive demonstration of LHU’s creativity and technological excellence.
LHU’s booth had the honor of welcoming Ms. Huynh Thi Hang – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province; Mr. Le Truong Son – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Tran Van Mi – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, along with leaders from various departments and agencies. Their presence and attention served as a strong encouragement, motivating LHU to continue asserting its pioneering role in AI application, digital transformation, and innovation, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of Dong Nai province.

Continuing this meaningful series of activities, LHU was honored to receive 10,000 free domain names and websites from the Ministry of Science and Technology – Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC). This valuable support program not only contributes to expanding the University’s digital infrastructure but also facilitates students’ startup projects, applied research, and learning in a modern digitalized environment. This well-deserved recognition highlights LHU’s ongoing efforts in applying information technology to education, research, and innovation, reaffirming its position as a leading applied university in the southern region.

On the afternoon of October 9, 2025, during a thematic seminar within TechFest, Dr. Pham Van Toan – Dean of the Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics at LHU, delivered a presentation titled “From scientific research to product commercialization”. His talk shared LHU’s practical journey in bringing scientific research products to the market, from ideas to real-world application, while emphasizing the effectiveness of the “University – Enterprise – Local Government” tripartite cooperation model as a key solution to promote innovation, technology transfer, and the knowledge economy. The presentation received strong interest and high appreciation from the delegates, strongly spreading the spirit of innovation and research across the local scientific and business communities.

Concluding the festival, Ms. Ngo Thi Huyen – Lecturer at LHU, was honored with the Dong Nai Province Science and Technology Communication Award 2025 for her work titled “Building Dong Nai’s digital ecosystem from AI projects rooted in real life”. The project, which won the Innovation and Startup category, offers a fresh perspective on leveraging AI in community development and highlights the human-centered approach of technology serving people and society. More than just Ms. Huyen's personal pride, this achievement also stands as a testament to the pioneering spirit and innovative ambition of LHU’s faculty those who consistently strive to connect knowledge, technology, and creativity throughout their educational and research journey.

Under the theme “Innovation runway – Dong Nai takes off”, TechFest Dong Nai 2025 gathered more than 200 booths showcasing science and technology products, OCOP items, and digital transformation applications. The event also featured seminars on technology transfer, ESG, business–scientist–investor networking, along with experience zones for robotics, AI, IoT, and smart devices. LHU’s active participation in the event contributed to spreading the spirit of creativity, innovation, and digital integration, reaffirming its pioneering position in Dong Nai’s innovation ecosystem and paving the way toward a sustainable, human-centered future for education and technology.
