The conference brought together leading education experts and administrators from Vietnam and abroad, including Dr. Ashim Malhotra, Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation; Prof. Huynh Van Chuong, Director General of the Department of Quality Management under the Ministry of Education and Training; Assoc. During the panel discussion “Readiness for Practical Implementation”, Assoc. Prof. Lam Thanh Hien, Rector of LHU, shared the University’s journey from quality assurance activities aimed at meeting accreditation requirements to a data-driven governance approach. Under this model, data serves not only evaluation purposes but also supports strategic planning, decision-making, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement across the University.

In addition to the panel session, LHU’s thematic presentations attracted considerable interest from conference participants.

Assoc. Prof. Le Phuong Truong, Head of the Office of Educational Testing and Quality Assurance, delivered a presentation entitled “Evidence-Based Reporting and Closing the Improvement Loop”. The presentation introduced the University’s reporting system, which integrates information from different sources to ensure that decisions are based on evidence. It also highlighted how improvement outcomes are continuously monitored through the PDCA cycle (Plan – Do – Check – Act), enabling improvement activities to be continuously monitored, assessed, and enhanced instead of serving only accreditation purposes.
