On the occasion of the 2026 Lunar New Year and as part of its social welfare initiatives, Mr. Do Khoi Nguyen, Vice Chairman of the University Council, together with representatives of the Youth Union and Student Association, visited to present Tet gifts and first-quarter allowances to 20 AO/dioxin victims in Tran Bien ward, Dong Nai province. During the visit, the LHU delegation extended heartfelt encouragement and emotional support to the victims and their families, reaffirming the University’s long-term commitment to humanitarian efforts.
Each beneficiary received a quarterly allowance of VND 1,200,000 (VND 400,000 per month), along with a Tet gift set valued at VND 600,000, including essential items such as rice, traditional sweets, and other food supplies.
The total value of support provided during this period reached VND 36,000,000, demonstrating LHU’s strong commitment to community responsibility and the tradition of compassion it has upheld throughout its development.
Earlier, on December 30, 2025, Ms. Do Thi Lan Dai, Chairwoman of the University Council, together with Ms. Truong Le Bao Trinh, Secretary of the Youth Union, visited and presented allowances for the third and fourth quarters of 2025 to 20 AO/dioxin victims in Dong Nai province, with total support amounting to nearly VND 50 million.
LHU is more than an educational institution; it is a nurturing environment for humanitarian values, where the pursuit of knowledge goes hand in hand with social responsibility.
To date, LHU, together with the family of Ms. Do Thi Lan Dai, has been providing quarterly support to 90 AO/dioxin victims in Dong Nai Province, with a monthly allowance of VND 400,000 per person. This remains the highest monthly subsidy for AO/dioxin victims in the province, reflecting the profound care and generosity of the LHU community.
