The Hangeul Festival 2025 took place vibrantly on October 25, 2025, at Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities, marking the 579th anniversary of the creation of the Korean alphabet (Hangeul), and the 33rd anniversary of Vietnam–Korea diplomatic relations.

The event was jointly organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Ho Chi Minh City, the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam, and various universities and colleges offering Korean Studies programs, aiming to spread a spirit of learning , promote cultural exchange, and strengthen the Vietnam - Korea friendship.
This year’s festival attracted more than 2,000 participants, including representatives from diplomatic agencies, students from 26 universities, colleges, and high schools offering Korean language programs in the Southern region, as well as students from the King Sejong Institute.

The Festival featured a lively atmosphere with seven exciting competitions, including the K-Pose Contest, Booth Decoration Contest, Beautiful Hangeul Writing Contest, Korean Reading Ambassador Contest, K-Pop Up Dance Contest, Korean Cultural Experience Activities, and the Korean Quiz Contest (한국어 겨루기), along with the final round of the Korean Studies Ambassador Contest.
In addition, a series of special cultural experience activities such as Sejong Munhwa Academy classes, hanbok wearing, calligraphy, bookmark making, handicrafts, and traditional folk games brought participants closer to Korean culture.

At the end of the festival, the Korean Studies Department of LHU achieved remarkable results, including:
- First prize – Booth Decoration and Presentation
- Champion – Korean Studies Ambassador
- First prize – Creative Idea for the Festival
- Second prize – Korean Reading Culture Contest
- Green Booth Award
- Consolation prize – Unit Brand Identity Design
